Latex-Free, Spandex-Free Organic Cotton Underwear for Allergy Suffers – Give-a-Way!

We’re thrilled to announce a new line of organic cotton underwear purposely designed to help folks with chemical sensitivities and skin contact allergies.  We have 7 products in this new line (2 for men) and we’re giving away a few items for our customers to try out and review!

Give-a-way 1 – The Allergen-Free Drawstring Bra

This bra is not only latex-free and spandex-free, but it actually contains no elastic whatsoever, using a drawstring design instead to hold it closed.  Sizes are marked 34B, 36B, 38B, 38C, 40C, 42C and 40DD, though the manufacturer claims they run a little on the small side.  We’ll work with you to pick the right size and then hopefully you can provide some feedback on the fit.

Give-a-way 2: The Allergen-Free Front Close Bra

This bra is does contain a small amount of elastic at the straps and under the bust.  However, the elastic is fully covered in organic cotton and contains no latex or spandex.  Sizes again run from 34B – 40DD.

TO ENTER: Leave a comment on this blog post including an e-mail address or phone number or some way to get in touch with you. (Note, if we can’t figure out how to tell you that you’ve won, we’ll have to pick someone else.) Contest ends Monday, April 25, 2011. Drawing will be held on Tuesday with the winner announced in the comments section.

There will be 2 winners – 1 for each bra. If you only want to be consider for one of the bras, please let us know. Otherwise, everyone gets in the draw for both picks.

Oh, I'd love either one of these bras too! I've been doing low-impact aerobics and yoga, and most bras are uncomfortable (the elastic digs into my chest) or make me itch, or are a struggle to get on & off. These look so soft and comfortable (and I think the drawstring one looks sexy!). My Google Voice phone number is 858-876-2272.

Thank you for this great contest! I posted it on my blog and although I have sensitivities myself, I would love to win this for a lady who has extremely severe sensitivities to synthetic fibers and only has a few garments of clothing that she can safely wear without reactions…Thanks for the chance to win one of these bras.

I am up at 4:30 a.m. to get work done before the sun comes up! I have to work when I can since chemo. I have Systemic Sclerosis, and I go for comfort. Every little bit helps. This bra design sounds perfect for me! I especially love design #2. It would be absolutely thrilling to win this item. You are so kind to offer this for your shoppers!!!!!
P.S. I LOVE the red cover up I bought in Dec. 2010. It is a show-stopper!

I would love to win either of these. I'm tired of bras that have tags that itch, have the hook "cover-up" move & then end up w/a rash because I have contact dermatitis.

My best friend from college would like to win this too. Do you know what happens to a boob after you develop a latex allergy to your bra? Neither do I, but if I don't win this for her, I'm sure she'll show me.

I would love to try this product. I'm allergic to latex & other synthetic fabric additives. Recently had a mastectomy and reacted to expander used to create a pocket for reconstruction. Now, I seem to be ultra sensitive. Thanks for the consideration!

    Hi there –

This new product line is super interesting! I am doing my best to support only organic fibers these days, and have quit buying clothes from conventional sources. I don't just think about how these things are made however… it also matters what happens when the item is completely worn out. Is it biodegradable? Even 5% spandex means no. Too often, it is a tough dilemma between conscious practices and aesthetically pleasing fashion. Thank you so much for your work to bring these two aspects together and for making them affordable. Keep up the progressive change 😉

By the way, has anyone else noticed that organic cotton lasts much, much longer than we are used to?? I think it's because the chemicals in non-organic cotton make the fibers brittle, and their lifespan is compromised significantly.
