Giveaway: Win a Sustainable Summer Hoody – Ended

We’re in the process of cleaning up some of our older products.  In some cases, we just bought way too many. (Ok, maybe 100+ English Bay Polos was overdoing it, but they were going out of business and the price was so good…) In some cases, the style just didn’t sell or was too “trendy” rather than classic, and has now passed.  But in a few cases, we found lovely styles that are still relevant that had terrible images.  On our old website, we tried to keep image sizes below 40k so everything would render well.  We’ve been adding and updating images on the new site, but a few pieces got missed.

Shoyu Hoody in Beet
Shoyu Hoody in Blue

In particular, there were two adorable hoodies with good stock left, but tiny images that made them hard to see.  So we’ve taken 3 steps.

  1. There are new images both on a model and on mannequin so you can see the products better.
  2. They’re both on sale!  Now until the end of May, both hoodies are 20% off. (Hint: if you’re not on our newsletter list, sign up now at the bottom of this page to get extra discounts exclusive to newsletter subscribers for Mother’s Day.)
  3. We’re giving away one of the hoodies for free to one lucky winner!  Since we don’t have all sizes in both, you’ll get to choose which one you prefer.
Short Sleeve Hoody in Rose
Short Sleeve Hoody in Wheat

The choices are:

Shoyu Hoody:

  • Med/Beet, Med/Blue
  • XL/Beet, XL/Blue

Short Sleeve Hoody:

  • Sm/Wheat
  • Med/Wheat, Med/Rose
  • Lg/Wheat, Lg/Rose

For size comparison, our size 10 model is wearing the blue Shoyu Hoody in medium and the rose Short Sleeve Hoody in large.  Please let us know when you leave the comment what size/color combo you’re interested in.

What color is Moonstone anyway? Match the Name to the Color to Win One of Our New Panties.

My SO often helps me pack orders on busy days, and we’ve had quite a few words about what color a color actually is.  What color is aubergine, he’ll ask.  Purple, I answer.  Well then why don’t you call it purple!? What the heck is aubergine?

A good many chuckles have passed in the warehouse on this topic.  We use the colors that the manufacturers assign, and even I scratch my ahead occasionally on the choice of color name.

The other day we were looking at a printed catalog and I pointed out a list of colors that I couldn’t make out because they hadn’t included swatches.  The conversation went something like, “Well, I know a tiger lily is a flower, but I’m really not sure what color it is.  Have you seen one?”  So after another silly round of what color each color is and where these color names come from, he suggested a contest.  So here it is.

Glen’s contest:  Match the color names to the color swatches, for example 1A, 2B, etc.  Leave your answer as a comment here or on our Facebook page with some way to get in touch with you (e-mail, phone, Facebook handle) and the person with the most correct answers will receive one of our new organic panties when they come out in June (or July).  Last day to enter is Sunday, May 25, 2014.

In the very likely event that more than one person ties for the same number of correct answers, we’ll draw randomly to decide who wins. Anyone can play for fun, but you must leave a way for us to contact you if you want to win the prize.

Happy Guessing!

PS – We originally started with 20, but we couldn’t even get it right… lol.

Review Your Purchases, Win a $25 Gift Certificate

Everyone loves reviews.  Sure, you sometimes have to take them with a grain of salt, but it’s nice to hear what others are saying about whatever you’re thinking of buying.  Did it hold up in the wash? Were those seams itchy? Is it as comfortable as it looks? Does it run true to size? just got their 400th review.  I know Amazon has a few more than a zillion, but those reviews aren’t focused on the best eco-fashions and organic lingerie in the country, so our 400 are certainly more useful!

I’d love to get to 500 reviews sitewide!  Admittedly, it took a while to get to 400, but then we’ve never specifically asked for reviews before.

So here’s the deal – Starting today (12/19/2013), write a review on our website on any product you’ve purchased from us, and we’ll enter you into a drawing for a gift certificate worth $25 to  When we hit 500 reviews, we’ll pick 2 winners!  The more products you review, the better your chances; though they must be products you’ve personally tried.  Be honest and don’t forget to mention your size if it will help.  And remember, folks love reviews of products you’ve had for a while and had time to put through their paces.

From the Account page, you can access all of your previous orders.

Good luck and let the reviewing continue.

Win Free Stuff – Help Us Expand

A few years ago, we committed to doing a blog give-a-way every month for a year.  It was fun for our customers and lots of great eco-fashions were given away.  Unfortunately, limiting the give-a-way to our small blog didn’t really get the word out about us, and only about 1/3 of the winners left a review of the product they’d won.  Since then we’ve had the occasional blog give-a-way when we get in something new (which we plan to continue), but we’ve been trying to figure out the best way to use our small marketing budget to directly benefit our customers and also get the word out about

So this year, we’re trying something new that we hope you’ll like.  We’re working with other bloggers to do give-a-ways on new websites.  The idea came to us after working with Whitney from Eco-Vegan Gal who did a fantastic review video of three of our bras.  I’m copying it here if you haven’t seen it before.

The way it will work is that each month we provide an item for a blogger to review.  Once they’ve had time to put it through its paces, they post about it on their website and we offer up a give-a-way to their fans.  Of course, we also want all of our current customers to have a chance to win, so we’ll be posting the monthly give-a-ways on our Facebook page as well.

Best of all, most of the bloggers will offer you additional entries if you repost the give-a-way link on your Facebook page.  This is where you can not only help yourself out by increasing your chances of winning some great organic clothing, but also help us out by spreading the word about our company.

There is sooo much we want to do in the future.  How many of you would like to be able to search on your size and just see what’s available that will fit you?  Or see more and bigger images of the products?  Or have a wider selection and expanded size ranges?  How many would like to see us start manufacturing our own line or reinvent some of the best-selling products from the past that got discontinued?  All of these things are on our wish list, many of them come directly from comments and feedback from our customers.  But all of them cost time and money.  So please, share our information as much as you can so we can start checking off our to-do list. 🙂

We’ll return the favor by continuing to focus our marketing budget in ways that benefit you directly and by implementing as many of your great suggestions as possible.

This month, check out blogger who reviewed our organic Alba No Wire Bra.  They will be offering a $50 gift certificate to to one winner.  At the end of the month, we’ll have a give-a-way on, who is currently reviewing the 100% organic cotton Michelle Dress.

Give-a-Way: Win a “Sublime” Organic Cotton French Bra

If you’ve been following, you’ll know we’ve recently moved to Oregon.  For the last few months we’ve made offers on 3 properties and been in and out of escrow.  The property search and move have been unbelievably time consuming!  Now that we’re somewhat settled, I wanted to get back in to blogging and sharing information.  But alas, having been completely out of touch for nearly 5 months and still owing the community several videos on bra sizing and fit, I found myself unsure of where to start.

The obvious answer… by offering up a give-a-way!  Everyone likes a chance at free stuff and our new Sublime lingerie line from Peau-Ethique is stunning.  So let’s start with some free products and we’ll work our way back into sharing information.

The Sublime line consists of 3 different bras as well as the first organic cotton corset we’ve ever seen!  The winner will be able to choose from any one of the 3 bras in their size.  Sizes range from 30A to 38DD depending on the style.

Get an Eco-Friendly Holiday Gift: Sundrop Jewelry Give-a-way

We’re thrilled with our newest line of recycled glass line from Sundrop Jewelry.  While Smart Glass offers somewhat more artistic styling, Sundrop is simple and classy with a wonderful story behind it that will have you talking about your earrings to everyone you see.

Sundrop Jewelry makes their unique glass droplets using focused sunshine!  The heat of the sun is focused by a three foot tall magnifying glass (technically a fresnel lens).  Artisans put recycled glass pieces under the concentrated heat and then let gravity form the droplets.

This creative process is all done right here in the USA in a Minneapolis back yard.  Of course, we love supporting small, eco businesses, so Sunglass Jewelry was an easy choice for us to offer.  Best of all, we’re giving away a matching set of earrings and necklace to one lucky winner for the holidays.  There are 4 color options to choose from.

TO ENTER:  Leave a comment on this blog post by Thursday, December 15, with your e-mail address, phone number or some way for us to get in touch with you.  If you don’t want to leave contact info, you can comment with your name and then e-mail us your contact info.  If we don’t know how to contact you, we can’t give you the prize.  The drawing happens December 16th and will ship as soon as we hear back from the winner.

To really appreciate this great line, take a look at this video of a Sundrop being created.
